Item 8.01 Other Events

Dr. Renato Skerlj has tendered his resignation as Chief Scientific Officer of X4 Pharmaceuticals (the “Company”), effective at the close of business on October 2, 2020. Dr. Skerlj is leaving the Company to transition to become the President and CEO of a privately held biotechnology company. The Company thanks Dr. Skerlj for his service and the contributions he has made to the Company’s growth and development. The Company has commenced a search to identify a permanent replacement for Dr. Skerlj.
